About the Album
The third album by "Nogu Svelo!" was recorded in the summer of 1992 in the town of Yakhroma, near Moscow, and released in 1993 by Tau Product. It not only changed the band’s trajectory, propelling them to the height of popularity, but also had a significant influence on the development of pop-rock culture in Russia and across all the former Soviet republics. “Haru Mamburu” is one of the album’s most famous tracks and has become the band’s signature song. On this album, [frontman] Max Pokrovskiy worked with a guest brass section for the first time. According to Pokrovskiy himself, the lyrics of this song were the result of an experiment and are not an imitation of any foreign language.
Review
It’s the centerpiece, and it’s impossible to get it out of your system. It’s not a curse — it’s a blessing. Everyone should have their own “Haru Mamburu.”
