About the Album
The eleventh album by Nogu Svelo! was released on December 17, 2011 under the Russky Disk label.
The band’s main goal with this record was to give their songs’ melodies a chance to be rediscovered in a completely new way. The concept dates back to the group’s participation in the Russian television project Two Pianos, where they performed several songs accompanied solely by piano. However, in The Other Side of Nogi, little remained of that strict piano concept. Still, every track gained a softer, more delicate sound, standing in stark contrast to its original version.

We never expected the work to draw us in so deeply. Each new stage pulled us further and further in, revealing something new in our own music—music we thought we knew like the back of our hand. It was hard to stop. This wasn’t about improving; it was about transforming into something entirely new. At times, it even felt like it wasn’t us at all, but some other band playing completely different music.
